Background:

Tomite is also a seishi of Genbu, who protected Okuda Takiko, Genbu No Miko, 200 years earlier than Miaka's entrance to the book. Not much is known about Tomite as well as Hikitsu, due to their small part in the show and non-telling of Genbu No Miko's story.
